Smart Growth

- Smart Growth Newton County is a coalition of citizens who have joined to promote intelligent responses to the growth that is predicted for Newton County. 

- We believe that by working cooperatively we can plan for logical, responsible growth that will benefit our communities while maintaining their special characteristics.

- We will provide the public with information about local and regional growth issues, provide a forum for public discussion, and provide opportunities for community education.

- We will advocate for the protection of natural, cultural, and historic resources and for the maintenance of the quality of life that makes Newton County a desirable place to live.
